Our body has the so-called endocannabinoid system, to which receptors are connected. These receptors are distributed throughout the body and interact with the ingested cannabidiol. Since the receptors are not only present in the body but also in the brain, CBD also has an influence on our nervous system. At the same time, CBD also interacts with anandamide. Anandamide is a neurotransmitter that is also called the happiness molecule. The neurotransmitter is significantly involved in our well-being and our feelings of happiness and can positively influence them.
But CBD also has an influence on adenosine receptors and TRPV1, these neurotransmitters are responsible for the perception of pain. This means, of course, that CBD can reduce pain and support us after sports.

In what form should CBD be taken for relaxation and after sports? 

For relaxation, taking CBD oil is recommended. But drinking hemp tea with CBD can also be helpful to calm down. If the stress is particularly high, vaporising CBD liquids is also possible. Vaporising helps the quickest, as CBD passes directly into the blood via the lungs. CBD oil takes effect after about 30 minutes. With hemp tea with CBD and CBD capsules, on the other hand, it takes about 45 minutes for the effect to take hold.
With sports, on the other hand, there are many options available. Besides vapourising, taking it with food and drinks or CBD oil is also an option. In addition, CBD creams and gels can help to relax the muscles and boost regeneration. Creams and gels are particularly recommended, as they are available in cooling and warming variants. While the cooling CBD creams can be especially helpful for acute complaints, warming creams and CBD gels are suitable for chronic complaints or for muscle regeneration, as the warming CBD products stimulate the blood circulation.

The right dosage to relax with CBD

Of course, the optimal dosage depends on each person. Every person reacts differently to CBD products and while, for example, two drops are sufficient for person 1, person 2 may need three or four drops. Therefore, you should slowly approach the right dosage.
At the beginning, two to three drops of CBD oil 5% should be taken after exercise. On the one hand, this helps you to relax better and on the other hand, it helps the muscles to regenerate. In addition, pain is relieved and inflammation is inhibited. At the same time, the stressed body parts can be massaged with CBD gel to stimulate regeneration from the outside.
If necessary, the dose can be increased every four days if the desired effect has not yet been achieved. However, with CBD it is generally true that less helps more. One should not overdo it with CBD, as otherwise undesirable side effects such as diarrhoea, vomiting, nausea and dry mouth may occur.
